We are still reeling from the exciting opening of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Jennifer Hudson was, as expected, incredibly magical. Neil Patrick Harris was the host for the grand opening, which will most likely be televised as a PBS special later this year. The 2000-seat Reynolds Hall was filled with celebrities, Vegas society’s hoi polloi, bankers, lawyers, backers—whoever is important in town, and I mean important. What else can I say about The Smith Center except that it is our new cultural center—headquartered in downtown Las Vegas.
